Cast steel GS-R, GS-K
Product with long life and high fracture strength
back to Overview of products
Stahlguß GS-R, GS-K The microstructure consists of a fine-grained, martensitic matrix. Blasting agent made from heat-treated high-carbon steel. Round grains (steel shot) produces during blasting a grey hammer-effect surface. Shot peening is used in cases where surfaces need to be improved or the surface stress/fatigue strength must be increased. Angular grains (steel grit) make for faster cleaning. The longer the material is used, the more the individual grains become rounded, the rate of rounding being dependent on the hardness selected.
